Jen and Mark offer a wide range of classes from technique classes to in depth scene study and choreography classes using source material from their numerous Broadway credits. Below is a list of the different classes they offer. All classes can be adjusted to accommodate the abilities and levels of the students and to focus on what will be most beneficial to the students.

Class Descriptions
  • Acting in Song - Approaching songs from an acting point of view. Creating an audition book full of pieces that best showcases students and their unique, individual abilites.

  • Theatre Dance Class - 60-90 minute technique class led by Jen

  • Tap Dance Class - 60-90 minute technique class led by Mark

  • Audition Techniques - How to be confident and deliver in the audition room. from the moment you walk in the room, to effective follow up post audition, and everything in between

  • Q&A Sessions - An opportunity to answer questions and speak with the students on a variety of subjects: how to find out about auditions, information about agents, what does it mean to be in the union, an in depth look at the entire audition process.

  • Pilates for Dancers - Jen leads this 30-60 minute class, useful as a warmup, stretching tool and toning for the core.

  • 1920’s Style Workshops - Featuring choreography from The Drowsy Chaperone and Thoroughly Modern Millie

  • Dance Repertoire Classes - Mary Poppins (“Step in Time,” “Supercal...”), Anything Goes (“Anything Goes” - tap, “Blow, Gabriel, Blow”)

  • Improv and Scene Study - Students will work on creating a character using improv games and exercises and then apply these ideas and characters to the short scenes from either Mary Poppins, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Drowsy Chaperone or Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

  • Mock Auditions - Students will be put through a mock dance audition and/or a singing audition which will be run like an Equity Principal Audition. They will be given actual sides from a current running Broadway show and asked to give a cold reading of the material.
